Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Redness In The Scrotum

Earlier this week I noticed a small slightly painful growth that would not pop on my inner thigh. It was on the left side right next to my scrotum. A few days later it has grown larger and now my scrotum is swelling and red too. I thinks it's an infected boil and I need advice. Should I see a doctor or are there ways to remedy this at home? I do not have a fever. Its more like a discomfort (wanting to burst feeling). I'm really concerned because my scrotum is swelling pretty bad. I get these every once in a while but they burst and go away. I think I've figured out that I seem to get these inner thigh boils more often when I wear nylon/gym shorts while working out. Please help.

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Yes, this is a boil. but this time the infection is strong enough to spread to the nearing area.
Scrotal skin is a bad area , the infection can really spread very fast.
You need a care of a Doctor , a proper course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines

Apply liquid povidone idodine locally, consult a Doctor / Surgeon , get the blood tests done particularly for diabetes. Go for surgery is advised ... as the dead skin / slough if present has to be surgically excised .
I find this answer helpful
