Suggest Treatment For Supraclavicular Lymphadenopathy

I went to a walk in clinic 6 weeks ago and was diagnosed with supraclavicular lymphadenopathy. I was sent to the ER and the doctor on duty did a chest X-ray which was normal. The swelling had gone down and he was not concerned. I have had swelling off and on. i am still worried.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Supraclavicular lymph nodes generally need further investigation like in females a breast examination is important and mammogram, in both genders a CT of the chest and CT of the tummy and if nothing is noticed with these, upper endoscopy and colonoscopy might be indicated as well. The purpose is to rule out any masses in the chest and abdomen that might be responsible for the lymph node.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
