Suggest Treatment For Stomach Pain, diarrhea And Vomiting

I have GERD and diverticulosis; also still have my ovaries. For the past 3 months have had constant "stomach ache" like when I was a child. Last Wednesday pain started becoming more severe; diarrhea and vomiting yesterday. Now hurts if I breathe too deeply or sneeze or cough. I want an MRI rather than just a CAT scan. Is it out of line to ask my doc. It has been 3 yrs since last colonoscopy; they said wait 5 even though I had pre-cancerous polyps. Age 57; weight 172.
