General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Stiffness in neck could be due to any of following
1. Cervical spondylitis
2. Local muscle injury or muscle pull
3. Brain disorder (rare)

I would advise you for few investigations like X ray cervical spine or an MRI
If you can provide more details like your age and complete history of these symptoms, I will be able to guide you better

In my opinion you should take ibuprofen tablets for pain and physiotherapy like infra red or inferential heat therapy
You should correct your posture and gait

If it worsens then you should consult a neurophysician for detailed check up
Hope this answers your question
