Suggest Treatment For Stiff Neck And Swollen Lymph Nodes

Hi, I have had a stiff neck, not overly severe just uncomfortable, for a day or two. At first I thought it was just because I slept on it wrong. I have not really had any other persisting symptoms except occasionally my stomach will become a little irritated. I also feel like I maybe have swollen lymph nodes in my neck. Should I be worried about meningitis?

Hello, There is no reason to worry about meningitis with the kind of sympt explained. Stiff neck can be relieved by taking a combination of an analgesic (paracetamol ) and a NSAID like Ibuprofen for 2 to 3 days. Swollen lymph nodes could suggest some infection in the throat. Please check with a local doctor. Thanks.
