Suggest Treatment For Sores In Mouth And Throat

i am62 years of age & i went to a doctor to treat my skin allergy which i believe came from an active spider web. The Doctor prescribed Wysolone DT 10 & Teczine 5mg. I have consumed 4 tablets of Wysolone & 2 tablets of Teczine. But the very next day i am having soares in my mouth & throat YYYY@YYYY . Please help.

Hi

Welcome in HCM.

I understand your concern and It appears as you were having skin problem but now your throat had become infected. This is upper respiratory tract infection and most of the time it is viral but some times bacterial infections are also there.

To confirm the diagnosis and for treatment point of view culture and sensitivity of throat swab is must and at the same time strep inf should also be ruled out by gram's staining of throat smear.

Till above formalities are going on you may take-

1- Tab paracetamol.

2- Anti histaminic and decongestant.

3- Warm saline gargling.

4- Adequate fluid orally.

If your culture report indicate any bacterial infection than antibiotic should be added to above treatment according to the sensitivity spectrum.
