Suggest Treatment For Soreness In The Thigh Muscles

My hamstring muscle in my left leg has been extremely sore, as if I ve over extended it, and I feel it all the way up to my left glute. I m also am preparing for an operation on my left foot due to a bunion. What could be causing this soreness? Could the abnormal way I m walking due to this bunion be the reason?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a simple musculoskeletal pain or neuropathic causes like sciatica.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated. You can proceed with bunion surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
