What Causes Pain In Thigh After Taking Intramuscular Injections?

IM injection of pegaspargase for ALL leukemia in thigh. extreme pain in thigh for 4 months. Only goes away during prednisone treatment phase in my cancer treatment. Oncologist only concerned with leukemia treatment. Can the pain be coming from IM injection? Did they hit a nerve? I have also had numerous spinal taps. What can I do or take for relief? Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thanks for seeking help on your issue; I have gone through your symptoms, and in my opinion, the pain you are having should not stem from any nerve as nerve pain is not only severe but is less likely to respond to steroids. moreover it can cause variable amount of motor symptoms as well.
you can discuss your concern with your treating consultant and then the issue can be sought out.
I hope I have been able to provide you with a satisfactory solution, if you want to clear any doubts about my opinion, feel free to contact.
Any medication prescribed needs to be taken after consultation with your personal doctor only.
Thanks
Dr. Narender Saini
