Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Nasal Congestion And Headache

I am Chloe, 16, female and I think I am catching a cold but I just had one a couple weeks ago. I have soar throat nasal congestion (right side) and occasional pressure headaches. I talked to my pediatrician when I was sick the first time and she told me it was allergies so I took benadryl pills instead of the Tylenol cold and flu syrup that I was taking at the time to get better. It started out by a sneeze and so did the first time except I sneezed more than once. I have been visiting the hospital frequently since before the first time I was sick (friend is in a coma).

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely viral upper respiratory infection. Tylenol cold and benadryl will be helpful to get relief from symptoms. You can also take vitamin c chewable form. Take more warm fluids like chicken soup with pepper and lemon tea. Take proper rest also. It usually take 5 to 7 days to clear up. If there is worsening of symptoms or no improvement then consult your doctor as it can be due to secondary bacterial infection and antibiotic therapy will e required.
