Suggest Treatment For Skipped Heart Beats And High Heart Rate
i have panic disorder and i feel my heart skipping beats pretty often sometimes four times a min. i usually have a very high heart rate and when it drops below 80 i freak out and usually when i experience my heart skipping beats it is in in the low 70's please help me. i am only 20!
It is important to see if you have any kind of arrhythmia or is it just your sensation. I recommend having an ECG when you have the sensation or doing a 24-hour ambulatory monitoring for heart rate which is easy to do.
It can probably be extra heartbeats called PVCs which may be due to anemia or thyroid disease and so finding the cause is important before treatment. The treatment is easy and no worries.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammad Mostafa Ansari Ramandi, Cardiologist
