Hi, I will try my best to describe my condition in bullet point as describing too much might be distorting what has actually happened. - Psychiatry (2009): fluoxetine - Anxiety Disorder (7 years): started with severe food poisoning condition without proper medical help; no one was around helping and support; same time under tremendous stress from school responsibility and roles. - Panic attack disorder (2011); Depersonalisation (2010) - Psychiatry (2011) Sertraline (severe side effect): stopped - (2012) panic attacks so frequent that I couldn t get on transportation and public places - CBT psychotherapy treatment (2012-2014); gained tool access for mindfulness - 2011-2014 fluoxetine; stopped in 2014 under GP approval. - Currently, with quite strong derealisation; anxiety feeling like shortness of breath, neck and shoulder pain. - Apart from knowing that de-stressing could help with lowering the anxiety (e.g. meditation and mindfulness which I engage daily), what sort of tools that I could try to get rid of the feeling of derealisation - the feeling of detachment so to speak. - Currently not on any medication. Eat well and balance meal. Regular exercise with light jogging, yoga. No smoking, drinking, drugs, or caffeine. - 27 year old male.
