Hi, I am writing because I am having a tremendous amount of pain near my tailbone and lower back. I do have a herniated disk and DDD, but I think something else is going on. The worse pain is near my tailbone and shoots up my back sometimes all the way to my shoulder. It hurts a lot more if I sit. Standing also hurts, but not as much as sitting. I have pain and burning senstation up the right side of my back. I have been to several doctors, but they are unable to figure out what it is. Sometimes if I move suddenly it feels like a horse kicked me beside my tailbone. (sorry don't know any other way to explain it). I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis in 2000 and shojrens/connective tissue disease in 2011. When I lay flat of my back it feels like a bone sticking out beside my tailbone. I have had MRI's, xrays and a milogram. This pain started in Sept 2009. I had to retire last year due to the pain. Its pretty debilitating and I am getting pretty depressed. I went from working out everyday, to barely being able to walk somedays. Any suggestions. I am 5'6", 130 lbs, and 55 years old. Thanks so much.
