Suggest Treatment For Severe Reddish Rashes In An Infant

My infant daughter - age 8 and one half months has developed a rash over a good bit of her body. Her back and front appear to be reddish, though she doesn t appear to have a fever. I think her neck and face also have some changes. No change in detergent (Dreft), hasn t worn unwashed clothes, is still breast feeding and had some bottled/saved milk at lunch today. She has bee somewhat irritable since shortly after that time. Is this likely to be a reaction to something in her mother s milk, or something else going on? She was also outside for a bit earlier today for some family photos. It was cool and breezy.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be an allergic eruption or fever blister.

You can wait for few days for spontaneous remission.

If symptoms persist better consult a paediatrician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
