Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Shoulder Blades And Under The Armpits
My husband has had pain in the muscles near his shoulder blade & under his left armpit for almost 4 weeks since he was lifting heavy concrete bags repeatedly. We have treated it alternately with bio freeze & heat packs & ibuprofen & some muscle relaxers but, the pain is still there & there is swelling in his armpit. It hurts when he puts his left arm down & sometimes when he turns his head. What type of medical care should we seek?

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persists you can consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.
