my wife s lower back on the right side hurts very much and her chest near her diaphragm is tender and she is nauseous. This has been going on for almost 24 hours and the pain is getting worse even though she has been immobile all day. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Lower back pain and pain in chest near diaphragm associated with nauseating feeling might be related to Acid peptic disease or gastritis. I will suggest you to take anti acidity medicine which is also available over the counter at medical stores. Meanwhile tell her to avoid spicy and junk food and advised for plenty of fluid and fruit juices. If it doesn't help than revert back to me with all the relevant details like her age, since how long she is having these symptoms.?

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

Your wife is suffering from lower back pain on the right side. The area of the chest near her diaphragm is tender. She is also nauseous. Pain is severe since 24 hours. You are suggested to get your wife clinically examined by a GP, she needs to get CBC, Urinalysis, all routine blood workouts, required imaging tests done. She will be treated accordingly. Her symptoms may be indicative of appendicitis, liver enlargement (hepatomegaly)/ liver dysfunction, gall stones/cholecystitis, etc.

In the meantime, your wife can take Pantoprazole, Pan-40mg, SOS when discomfort. She can take Spasmol (spasmoproxyvon), one SOS when severe pain to reduce restlessness and discomfort. She should be on liquid diet & take sips of water or fluid from time to time. She should take boiled water after cooling & boiled home made food. She should stay away from addictions if any. get her physically examined and treated at the earliest. Neglect may cause worsening of the symptoms and medical emergency.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
