Suggest Treatment For Severe Lower Back Pain And Fever
My body temperature is 94...I'm 64 and female... Yesterday after walking my usual 3.3 miles, i came home shivering even though I was dressed quite warmly. I took my temp and as 101.9... But today I've been a consistent 94 and freezing with body aches in my lower back. Should I see a doctor on Monday?

As per your query you have severe lower back pain and fever . Well there can be many reasons for symptome you mention in query musculoskeletal pain , strain or sprain of the muscles, tendons , viral upper respiratory infection such as a cold or flu and symptoms of the flu . Sometimes there are condition like cancer which giver such symptoms , but this is rarely happen . I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , viral culture test and chech vital look for infection . Doctor may refer you to ENT specialist or orthopedic surgeon . Doctor may prescribe anti viral like acyclovir along with analgesic and anti pyretic . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and drink warm glass of water with one spoon of honey in it . Also apply warm compresses on back .
