Suggest Treatment For Severe Headaches And Swelling In The Feet

Yes hello, I ve had a headache for about 4 or more days now. Some swelling in my feet. Which doesn t seem to go all the way away when I have a woke in the morning. I m also feeling somewhat nauseous. The headache feels like it s on both sides maybe more so on the right. Making my eyes hurt. I ve been treating with ibuprofen and vicodin. It s seem to go back and forth with the severity. But never goes away. Should I be concerned? Better yet I am concerned

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for your query.

Yes it is definitely of concern. Your symptoms are suggestive of raised intracranial pressure in addition to an underlying water imbalance.
I would like to check for cardiovascular and renal disease.

*how old are you?
*do you smoke or consume alcohol?
*do you have any other medical issues or take any medications?
*have you vomited?
*any fever or visual disturbances?
*any muscle weakness?
*any weight loss?

I recommend :
-a physician consult with thorough clinical examination
-a CT scan of the brain
-blood tests (complete blood count, Thyroid stimulating hormone, liver and kidney function tests, electrolyte levels, serum osmolality and osmolarity)
-urine analysis and electrolyte levels
-doppler study of legs if indicated.

Based on this, we can arrive at a diagnosis.
Please see your doctor right away to check for tumors that could be compressing surrounding structures in the brain.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health
