Suggest Treatment For Severe Hair Fall

Hi. I am experiencing alarming amount of hair fall in past 5/6 weeks. Hair comes out in handful and I have lost for than 2/3 of my hair. I can even see the scalp. I went through several illnesses in the last months. Had radio iodine therapy for hyper thyroid ism in February Had hypo thyroid a few months following that. Now on thyroxine. Had dengue fever in August. I am so worried about the hair. What is causing it! Al three of them? Will it grow back? After how long?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

You have history of hair fall and now hypothyroidism. You your hair fall is due to hypothyroidism most likely. Check your T3, T4 and TSH level and set the dosage of your thyroxine accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question.
If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
