Suggest Treatment For Severe Back Pain

I have been taking Belviq for a little over a month. Tell me about the back pain that can occur. I m experiencing sever pain across my low back and in my posterior hip regions. Fine when upright but getting up and down or laying in bed and needing to move very difficult. Wondering if all of this can be from the drug or do you think something else is going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Firstly, you should have provided me the weight you are now and also the height. Sometimes, loosing weight rapidly may cause back pain. In this case, it may be the drug. I should also question you what is the dosage of your Belviq, how many times a day you take this, etc.

There may be body ache and pain as a side effects of this drug. If it pains too much, you can also take Paracetamol as a safe remedy. If the pain continues, you can call your doctor to tell as I think it should be stop. May be a new drug can be given or weight loss program can be chart out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
