Suggest Treatment For Red Bumps On The Tongue

I have numerous raised red bumps on the back of my tongue and some less large bumps on the side of my tongue. I also have what appears to be thrush on my tongue. The thrush does not come off when I brush my teeth and neither do the bumps. I have had this condition for 3 years now.

Hi...
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain the bumps over the back and sides of the tongue can be inflamed tongue papillae and in case if there is yeast infection over the tongue causing oral thrush then it can cause inflammation of the mucosa and the papillae also gets inflames secondary to infection..
As it is already going on foe 3 years you should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a biopsy can help in exact diagnosis.
In case of thrush antifungal medications like Nystatin mouthwash gargles, clotrimazole lozenges and taking plenty of probiotics like Yoghurt and garlic can be advised..
As the infection will subside the inflamed taste buds will also improve..
You can also do warm saline gargles and suck on ice pops for reducing inflammation of taste buds..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
