Suggest Treatment For Red And Itchy Rashes On The Arm

I broke it out in some sort of rash last night that I large red and blotchy but towards the center is pale and very raised. It is itchy and warm to the touch. I took benadryl and it helped for approximately 6 hours. Then I started to notice random bumps. 6 hrs after that point the original rash had gone and I had at least 4 new large blotchy areas like the first. When I took benadryl again the same thing happened. Every 6 hrs the new areas affected seem to be staggering down my body always higher blotches on my left side and lower on my right. Like left upper arm right elbow left knee right ankle etc. What could this be? I have no car and the hospital is very far from where we live or I would already have gone.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction.

I recommend you to use antihistamines daily such as Levocetirizine.

I also recommend using Calamine lotion for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
