Last night I had 4 bad seizures. I have had a seizure disorder since I was 13 years old (now 44). It wasn t until about 6 years ago that my wife and I discovered a direct correlation with my seizures and MSG or aspartame. I ve never had a seizure during the day, always while sleeping. When I got home last night, after working late, I had a piece of pizza for dinner (not unusual). However, my wife had bought wasabi soy almonds yesterday. In the past I mixed these with peanuts and would have a handful once in a while. Interestingly, I would have a seizure once in a while as well. I hadn t had the wasabi almonds in about 6 months until last night. Also, I hadn t had a seizure in 6 months, until last night. The only thing out of the ordinary that I had last night was the wasabi almonds. I had about 3 handfuls of the almonds, not mixed with the peanuts. Looking at the ingredients, I noticed yeast extract, which is a hidden source of MSG. I think this is probably the cause of the four bad seizures I had last night. Have you ever heard of this correlation with seizures and MSG or aspartame? I guess I should be more careful with what I eat.
