Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Respiratory Problem
Hi,
My new born kid is preterm baby. The baby is suffering from recurrent respiratory problems and ending up on oxygen and ventilator support. Some of the doctors are suspecing it to be Chronic Lung Disease and it cannot be cured. I would like to know if there is any hope in this kind of situation and the baby can grow like any other kid!
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.
I understand your concern. But chronic lung disease is a condition where the damage to the lungs continues and it is a dynamic disease. Sometimes it may respond to steroids which I am sure your doctors might have considered. But overall the response will be poor and there might be increasing oxygen requirement by the patient and progressive stiffening of the lungs.
Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
