My father has been asked to undertake Urine Test for DNA, PCR, AFB culture. He has one of the kideny damaged because of stone in the kidney or during the removal of the stone. He was under antibiotics. His infection keeps coming back. He has a slight increased prostate gland also. Other parameters are normal.

Hello and thank you for asking HCM.

I have read the medical report of your father, the ones that you have written above and i will give you some advice how to help the urinary tract to not get an infection easily.
You have written that your father has a damaged kidney from stone/surgery.
In this case,if his other kidney is working properly you can follow the advice that i am going to write. If his other kidney has problems too, than you should consult a nephrologyst.

-Give him plenty of liquids,2-3 liters each day. This way his urinary tract will always try to flush away the bacteria, due to the amount of the urine.
-fresh fruit juice, especially orange juice, lemon juice,or cranberry juice. Those help the bladder get clean and help the immune system to fight the bacteria.
-try not to hold his urine for long
-make sure he empties his bladder each time he goes to urinate
-rose tea,or marshmallow root tea, peppermint ginger juniper berry tea will help the bladder against the infections. Also these kind of tea, help the urinary tract to kill the bacteria

These are the most useful tips to minimize the risks of getting an urinary tract infection.
