Hi! My name is miranda and i have been having some issues with reoccuring Bacterial vaginosis or vaginosis (not sure if its the same thing). It has been going on for the past 8 months or so. It has been chronic and regular for that long even after treatments and home remedies. It seems to be (mostly) after intercourse. thats when the odor takes course. I had it about 5 years ago and i tried a round of Flagyl and it worked back then. This time for the last 8 Months my gynocologist perscribed at first the flagyl(i told her how it worked for me several years before) and that did not work. Then the next treament we tried was the Clindamycin vaginal cream, and that didnt work either. I tried over the counter and home remedies..and then finally for last 5 months or so Ive been taking the flagyl almost every night after intercourse. And nothing is working the odor doesnt seem to go away and she confirms at my appointments every time that the BV is still there. So, she had 2 weeks ago told me to try the flagyl for a week and also for my boyfriend. she mentioned sometimes have to treat both partners. But so far that isnt working either and i also believe my boyfriend may be allergic to this medication..Also, i had these symptoms before i met my boyfriend it seems to be whoever id been sexually active with in last 8 or 9 months..what else can i do? PlZ help Im so out of ideas and i am beginning to wonder if this is ever going to go away. itll be going on a year in next few months!
