Suggest Treatment For Raised Bruises On The Thumb

my daughter on her left thumb has two sections that are raised and bruising. The raised sections appear like a Callas but it hurts her and she can not pick up anything while using that finger. This has been going on every once in awhile for a period of 4 years.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what your daughter had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it needs to be reviewed for any autoimmune disorder but a dermatologist opinion for local inflammation needs to be evaluated.

If needed biopsy of the rash may also be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
