Suggest Treatment For Pus Filled Bump At Incision Site

I have an ingrown hair on my c-section that is now elevated into a bump the size of an almond and is letting out a dark yellow smelly pus. There is no pain, fever, chills or itchiness that is accompanying it so is it treatable at home and can you tell me how to treat it please?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query.

Considering your description it seems like there is an abscess or so called Schlofer tumor and I am afraid that there is no home remedy for something like this. This usually happens due to infllamation around subcutaneous stitch which is placed during c section.
If there are no skin changes such as redness, pus discharge or pain and fever then you should definitely see doctor since incision and surgical drainage may be required. ALso, dont try to scratch this or drain it alone since you may just worsen the infection.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
