Suggest Treatment For Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding When Diagnosed With Fibroids
Hello I m a 43 year old woman with one child no other pregnancies. I was diagnosed with Uterine Fibroids last year, 4 of them to be exact. My question comes here, I ve been penetrating since Nov. 21 and still is with no stops, I m aware of menorrhagia and so I m concerned if I should go to the emergency room. I m unemployed so all my doctors expense is out of pocket. I very scared and nervous, should I go to the emergency room?
Fibroid treatment will depend on severity of symptoms and size of fibroid. I would suggest to consult gynecologist for proper treatment.
Following treatment will help you:
- Drugs like Progesterone pill or intrauterine devise containing progesterone - Tranexaemic acid to reduce bleeding - GNRH agonist also will useful - Tablet ibuprofen to reduce inflammation and pain
If drugs will not responds then it should be removed surgically. Eat healthy diet with iron supplements, maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
