Suggest Treatment For Productive Cough And Dizziness

Hi. I seem to be having flu symptoms as well as a productive cough. I took dayquil during the day and a dose of nyquil during the night two days ago, as directed on the box. I only took one dose of dayquil yesterday. I am on numerous (five) psychiatric medications for bipolar disorder. In addition to flu symptoms I feel a bit strange as if I were high. I am a little bit dizzy at times, things look and sound different than usual, and my thinking is slightly foggy. Could I be having a drug interaction or is this just normal flu stuff? Thanks for you help.

Hello,

According your concern I think you should know that the composition of dayquil is Acetaminophen, Dextromethorphan, Phenylephrine. It is known that this medications (dayquil) can have some side effects such as nervousness, dizziness, insomnia but as well as drug reaction with certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions. So, I think is better that stop using the dayquil and to see if these symptoms will continue or not.
