hello see cancer is a very Dynamic disease per se. it spreads very fast at times and at times it doesn't. it has a varied etiology and what exact cause I'm your patients case is we can't tell. but yes once a patient develops polyps and that too ones that have developed malignant change the dictum is to go for strict surveillance and when found to be suspicious removed it as early as possible either via endoscopic splicing or resection depending upon the size and accessibility of the polyp.
