Suggest Treatment For Polycythemia Post A Heart Attack

i have polycythemia vera untreated due to my oncologist is refusing to treat due to her beliefs of smoking she is supposed to help me quit. I had a heart attack 2 weeks ago, my tricuspid valve was severely damaged to a surgeon removing an aggressive tumor on the back of my leg.. no proper wound care given and i went septic for 3 months and was found barely alive on my floor..i now have my left lung collaped and the lower right lung collapsed and the doctors say there is nothing they can do to save my life is this true?
