Suggest Treatment For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Hello I'm a 24 year old female me and my husband have been trying to have a baby for 5 years now but I don't have a period but every now and then so I went to a ob I was diagnosed with pcos they then put me on provera and clomid we did that for 6 months and nothing happened I still wouldn't ovulate so we gave up well I just recently had a period first one I've had on my on in 6 months. Well now that I am off of it I'm still having really bad cramping on my left lower stomach. I've heard it could be a sign of ovulation or could there be something wrong?

Hi,
I understand your concern,
- If you have received provera & clomid the PCOD might have reduced/ controlled. Getting period without induction is a good sign. Get you ovulation study / USG abdomen done to know present status of the problem.
-If the USG shows normal sized ovaries & ovulation without stimulation, wait & try for conception for next 6 months- while you are taking medicines to facilitate conception( folic acid &VIt. E for both partners.)Mostly you will conceive .
- In case, the PCOD is not controlled surgical treatment ( Laproscopic drilling) should be thought of.
Thanks.
