Suggest Treatment For Persistent Itching On Hands Caused By Dengue

Sir, My daughter is suffering from dengue fever since last six days. Now her body temperature is normal and platelets count is slightly more than 2 lacks. But she has itiching in hands and foot. Kindly advise for next treatment. Regards, Chanchal Paul

For the itching you may try benadryl, calamine lotion or applying ice directly to itchy areas.
Itching is not a common symptom with dengue fever and if it persists, your daughter should have blood tests to rule out a liver condition. Best regards
