Suggest Treatment For Persistent Chronic Colitis

I was in ER for Colitis 2 weeks ago. Finished half of antibioitic treatment of Cipro. Could not take Flagyl that was prescribed. I had bloody stool for a week after diagnosis, which is now gone. I ve seen a GI specialist, who was basically no help. I now have what feels like an internal hemorrhoid for the last few days that causes pain with pressure mainly from sitting, but also when walking and and it feels like its getting larger and causing more pain on a constant level. Do I wait and see a trusted doctor or go to Urgent Care/ER?

Hello,

Internal hemorrhoids are not painful so it is unlikely your pain is related to it. It is external hemorrhoids or fissures that may cause anal discomfort, rarely an abscess in the area may be the cause as well.
If you have severe pain or the pain is getting worse and especially if you are developing a fever you will need to see a doctor as soon as possible (urgent care).
