Suggest Treatment For Palpitation During Pregnancy

My heart has been beating normally then it feels like there is a really hard beat and it happens a few times a minute if not more. What is this? Oh and I'm 20 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby and have been experiencing anxiety attacks with this pregnancy.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
In pregnancy, blood volume is increased for fetal circulation. so heart has to over work- this causes palpitation in pregnancy. Apart from this pregnancy hormones/ mothers emotions/stress /indigestion/ anemia are other factors which contribute to palpitations. Your anxiety attacks must be increasing them!
To manage it-
- Understand the physiological cause behind it.
- have healthy life style with nutritious diet with proteins/iron/calcium/vitamins . Moderate regular exercises in form of walking/yoga./ meditation Be occupied in the activities you enjoy, have 8 hours sound sleep, Be positive .
- Get your self checked up by aphysician to exclude any heart problem-and be tension free.
Thanks.
