Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of urinary tract infection, UTI. You are suggested to get Urinalysis (R/E & C/S) done to confirm UTI. Sexual intercourse can increase the chances of getting a urinary tract infections (UTIs). To reduce the odds of developing a UTI, you should urinate before and after sex and stay hydrated to boost personal hygiene.

If the report gives a positive result you will be treated with antibiotics like sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim (Bactrim DS). If allergic to sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim, you will be treated with cephalosporins like cefactor, etc. Avoid using sex toys, it can pass bacteria if not clean. You are suggested to take Acetaminophen or Combiflam, one stat after food to reduce inflammation, pain and soreness.

In addition, some STIs, such as chlamydia, can cause UTI, get tested for STD, to be on the safer side. If reports come positive, you will be treated with antibiotics/antivirals.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
