Suggest Treatment For Painful Spasms In The Neck

18 year old daughter has had painful episodes of a spasm like pain on her neck and feels like the inside of her throat. Pain shoots in her ear and up to her head. Briefly has a hard time swallowing. Has happened about 3 times over the last few weeks. She is currently home from college. Should we take her to urgent care?

hi...it could be retro pharyngial abscess...if.she develops fever better you bring her to the doctors immediately...but I.suggest it could be an infection of her throat or behind the throat...better bring her to a physician...Thank you
