Suggest Treatment For Painful Pus Filled Bump On The Back And Stomach

I have a fluid filled bump on my back & one on my stomach. I have tried to squeeze it & sometimes a very small amount of thick white fluid with a little blood comes out & it has an odor. Smells kind of like pseudomonas. They always fill back up & the one on my back looks dark at the sight. Both bumps are the size of the tip of my finger. What could this be?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of painful pus filled bump on the back and stomach which occur because of abundance of sebaceous glands in these areas and due to infection of hair follicle leading to folliculitis. Need not to worry. Maintain complete hygiene of that area. I would suggest you to wash these areas daily with cold water and body wash containing salycylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelaic acid which is good for pimples. Apply topical antibacterial cream bacitracin on these bumps. Take diet rich in multivitamins. If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocyclin, steroid ointment and may recommend chemical peeling for marks.
