Hi, i tried having sex with my girlfriend for the first time( we are both ready) and we did a lot of foreplay and all that good stuff, and when I tried to stick my penis in, she was hurting really bad and she got really scared and started crying from pain.( she doesn t cry that easily usually) . We tried again and again for the past month and we just can t do it. It hurts her to much. And sometimes it feels like I m hitting a bone. What is wrong and what do i do? Please help!!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
I think you have severe dyspareunia. Following are the causes: vaginal dryness, endometriosis, stress, vaginal infections, cystitis, muscular problem, anatomical variation in the genital tract, estrogen deficiency, ovarian cyst.
You should consult the gynecologist and go for following investigations like vaginal examination, endometrial biopsy, serum estrogen level, ovarian follicle study, USG, hysteroscopy, swab test for infections, CBC etc.
Meanwhile taking following advice:
Avoid stress during sex/be relax while during sex,
Use K-Y jelly for lubrication during sex, or apply visna cream
Enter your finger in the vagina for 5-6 days. If no pain then insert double finger in the vagina for 5-6 days. Then try to enter your penis.
Engage more in foreplay before intercourse. Do breathing in and out while doing sex that decrease the fear.
Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
