Suggest Treatment For Pain On Hips And Back That Radiates To Stomach Area

Pain on my left hip of my back radiates around to the front of my lower stomach area just above groin. Just had CBC blood test in June BUN test normal Bilirubin normal . Had a Colonoscopy which was fine just prior to that. I have had back problems all my life including herniated disk and stenosis of the spine.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read your sms carefully and I understand your issue.

Having hip pain radiating in lower back, thigh or leg makes me think of possible spinal problems. A further examination of your vertebral spine, and x-ray of the lower back and pelvis advised to check the actual status of herniated disc and the spine stenosis.

Until you get the x-ray done, I advise to take OTC pain killers like ibuprofen or ketoprofene and apply analgesic cream locally.

Physiotherapy can help; discuss with your physiotherapist for best spine exercises for you.

Wish fast recovery.
