Suggest Treatment For Pain In Knee Upon Walking

I was running on the treadmill tonight and felt a pop in medial aspect of my right knee. It now hurts to walk. I am icing it and elevating it. Is there anything else I should do? Should I have a doctor look at it or wait for it to work itself out? Thanks, Karen
