Suggest Treatment For Pain In Groin Area After Hernia Repair

Asking for my spouse, 6 years ago he had a hernia and they put in a net, he still had a lot of pain and they had to go in again. Still after 6 years he suffers a lot of pain in the groin area. The doctors say its scar tissue and cannot provide pain medication. Sometimes pain shoot down his legs and back and he feels a pulling while just sitting down. (He is a trucker by trait) so it makes it difficult to work. Are there any pain meds that can be prescribed? and are scar tissue repairable? Should we be requiring a second opinion. I find it hard to believe someone has to deal with this pain for the rest of his life.
