thank you for the question. You shouldnotstop meds.suddenly.It is advised that youcontinue them and if want to withdraw, then it should be gradually tapered like taking alternate days fora week and thentwicea week for another week and so on.Consult your spine doctor for radical cure. And contact a physical therapist for lumbar traction for 10 days, Take chlorxazone 500mg tab twice a day after meals for 5 days.Avoid bending and lifting objects

General & Family Physician Dr. Dr. Madhuri Gnbi's  Response
Hello my friend
Thanks for your question on HCM

I recommend to you to follow :
1.Rest or limited activity for several days followed by gradual increase in activity over the next few weeks. Strict bed rest is generally not advised because people with back pain have been shown to recover more quickly with normal activity as long as lifting, bending, and straining are limited.

2.Anti-inflammatory medications, such as ibuprofen (Motrin) and others, may be recommended. These can generally be safely taken with acetaminophen (Tylenol) as home remedies for a slipped disk.

3. A short course of a medical steroid (corticosteroids, similar to cortisone), such as prednisone, prednisolone, and methylprednisolone (Medrol), also may be used.

4.If the medical measures are not successful within a reasonable time (6 weeks or more), and the tests confirm a herniated disk as the source of symptoms, surgical repair may be considered by your doctor.

Hope this information is helpful to you
Best regards
