Suggest Treatment For Pain And Numbness In The Hands

I have two questions. First I get weakness in my hands after doing anything with my hands and it s getting worse. Meaning the pain and not being able to do anything with my hands afterwords for days. Second question is I started getting red dots on my lower legs over a year ago and there were a couple at first now my lower legs are covered and I have noticed numbness in my legs?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Most likely cause for numbness in hands is peripheral neuropathy.
I would like to know what kind of job you are doing like playing musical instrument/job which makes hand vibratory - then there are chances of Raynaud's phenomenon. In this condition, people will experience numbness in hand with similar cold feeling. Cold stimulation test confirms it.

We should also rule out hypothyroidism where few patient experience similar symptoms. Get T3, T4, and TSH done.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
