Suggest Treatment For Pain And Lump On The Knee

i have had pain in my left knee for 8 days now, cannot bend the knee it feels very tight, and there is a lump to the left of the knee cap, i am able to walk and stand but this is very uncomfortable. ive been taking Ibuprofen 2 x 200mg 4 x daily for 8 days and went to A & E 4 days ago but they were not very helpful, just told me to rest the leg, i did not even get to see a doctor just a nurse!! should i make an appointment to see my GP? Thanks :-)

Thanks for your query.
You should get an appointment to see a GP fast and more important to take a referral for an Orthopedic Surgeon.
You also need an MRI examination of the affected knee to get a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
When you can not bend the knee and has a lump and you have already taken medicines, please consult an Ortho Surgeon and so the MRI is the most
