Suggest Treatment For Osteoarthritis
Hi,
I am a nutritional consultant and I have a client with a degenerative knew with inflammation. He is currently taking amlodipine and losartan. Would there be a contraindication to take Beneflex (Apresflex /a form of Boswellia, UC-II collagen, turmeric and hyaluronic acid) for the knee, and Krill oil, Hawthorn, and magnesium for his blood pressure? Hawthorn increases NO which vasodilates the blood vessels, much like his medication. It would be started in a low dose to hopefully reduce his medication. Thank you.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. No contra-indications for medication
2. Start with Hawthorn, however if Blood pressure were to be affected, medications can be accordingly adjusted.
3. Also advise improving muscle strength around knee joint to reduce further degeneration. Walking support would be helpful.
