Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Fatigue And Headache
Six days ago I woke up wuth horrible nausea, fatigue, headache and nech ache. I don t have a fever and my nausea goes away for a few mins when I eat or drink. I can t drink water or I throw up. Normally water is mostly what I do drink. I don t feel any better after six days.
It sounds like you have a viral illness, like the flu but there are several kinds of viruses that can make you sick like this. Normally you don't need any special treatment for this and just have to wait for it to pass, but if you are not able to drink enough water, you may be getting dehydrated and need IV fluids. If you are not urinating as much or feel lightheaded I would especially worry about this. Also, if your headache and neck ache are not getting better or getting worse I would worry about a possible infection of the tissues covering your brain and spinal cord, and I would see a doctor for this as well.
Otherwise, if you are otherwise doing ok, your doctor could prescribe something like Zofran or Reglan to help with your nausea.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch,
General & Family Physician
