Dear Doctor,
I have a myopic degeneration of eye on by both eyes. I lost vision in my left eye and in right eye also started degrading my vision . Is it possible to restore my vision? I understand there is not treatment for this condition. My doctor is administers Avastin when needed. Is there is a permanent solution for this retinal condition.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having pathological myopia and it has led to complication in the form of myopic degeneration.
Myopic degeneration will lead to the formation of choroidal neovascular membrane resulting in loss of vision. The treatment as told by your doctor is by injections of avastin which are anti vascular endothelial growth factors and prevent mauclar degeneration by acting against the choroidal neovascular membrane.
As of now this is the only effective treatment for this condition hence I advice you to continue treatment as advised by your doctor.

Thank you
