Brief Answer:
Better to wear the glasses regularly

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for asking on this platform
I have gone through the details and do understand your concern.
One should wear glasses irrespective of whether it is spherical or cylindrical.
In children eyes are still in growing phase and the power may worsen if correction is not given with glasses or if child is not wearing the glasses regularly. Not wearing glasses causes strain on eyes and that can headache and can lead to development of amblyopia.
Eye power is gets worsened or not does not depends only on wearing glass but also on age and other factor.
From my opinion you should encourage her to wear the glasses for maximum hours of the day.
Also keep in touch with your ophthalmologist and go for regular check up to see if there is any improvement or worsening.

I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.

I have one more query ,for myopia when we remove the glasses vision seems to be completely blurred,is that the same for cylindrical power too. I had a very bad experience of it and am worried that my kid would also face the same situation. Thanks for your reply doctor

Brief Answer:
Myopia is somewhat different from astigmatism

Detailed Answer:
Hi

In myopia there is difficulty in distant vision and as the severity increases the distance of clear vision gets decreased.
If you have myopia of - 0.5 diopter, you may not have any difficulty in vision(only distant things will be blurred and can live normally without spectacles) while with increasing power even closer things will be blurred.
In astigmatism there is abnormal curvature of cornea and that may cause visual blurring irrespective of distance.Deoending on severity here also blurring increases.
So you can not exactly compare the two.
With age this can improve or worsen so a regular follow up is necessary.
