Suggest Treatment For Migrane

I am 20 years old. I have been having migranes since I was about 12. They are horrible, and I normally have to stay in bed all day when I have one. When I was 7 months pregnant with my son(who is 18 months old now) I was hopitalized with symptoms of a stroke. I couldn't think clearly, one side of my body was numb, and I had lost sensation in one side of my body. All of these symptoms followed a very bad headache that lasted for about 3 days. After a short stay in the hospital, the doctors told me that they couldn't give me a definate diagnosis. It was either a small stroke, or a complex migrane. They also did a bubble test on my heart ( I cant really remember the reason why.) and discovered a PFC. They said that could be the cause of my miganes. With all that being said, I have a few questions. How would I know, if i did indeed have a stroke, and if any damage occured? Are there any medications out there that prevent migranes? If so, what are the pros and cons? Are there any vitaimins or herbs that I could try as an alternative to medication to prevent migranes? How likely is it that my migranes would be cause by a PFC, and what can be done to fix that?

Thanks so much.
